PRICING SPECIFICS
Birthday, Wedding & Special Occasion Cakes
In general, cake pricing starts at $5.00 per slice/serving for a basic, buttercream filled and frosted, single-flavored cake. Details like fondant, sugar sculpture, 3D design, flowers, and specific detail work will be taken into account from that base price. All of our cakes are custom creations--we aim to make your cake an individual work of art, and we take inspiration from any picture or design element you may have in mind. We will provide a price breakdown based upon your design ideas and work with your budget to make the perfect cake for your event.
To guarantee our availability for your event, please schedule early! Weekends fill up very quickly--about a month in advance, and farther out during wedding season.
Cupcake Pricing
Cupcake pricing varies by design. Prices range from $25/dozen for simple cupcakes (basic buttercream with or without sprinkles) to $50/dozen (complex design work, gumpaste or fondant flowers/detailing).
Understanding the importance of your wedding day, we strive to make each cake as unique and beautiful as the day itself. We will work together to design the perfect, custom cake for your special day, complete with the details you have always dreamed of, or the ideas you fall in love with. We believe each wedding should have it's own uniquely designed cake, not just a copy of a picture you found on pinterest.
If you already have an idea of what you're looking for in terms of cake design, feel free to bring pictures or website links to your consultation, or send them along in an email. It's also helpful to have a rough estimate of your guest count and an idea of your desired venue. If you're not sure about your cake details, we'll work on it together. I limit bookings for wedding cakes, so please make your appointment early, finalize your contract, and place your deposit as soon as possible to guarantee your date.
Custom Cake Policy
Tastings
We do provide private, complimentary tastings, by appointment, for cake orders over $200. A tasting is for the purpose of sampling quality, rather than every flavor offered, and in general, we encourage that you choose 3 cake flavors and 4 filling flavors to try at your tasting. Prior to scheduling your tasting, we will talk through your cake details and come up with a preliminary design and estimated cost, making sure we are on the same page for your budget and expectations.
A 20% down payment on your cake is expected when you reserve your event date. In the event of a cancellation, your deposit will not be refunded. Full payment is due 2 weeks prior to the event date along with your final guest/serving count.
Any stands/bases/plates/equipment used for your cake which belong to SweetCakes Cakery MUST BE RETURNED WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF YOUR EVENT DATE.
